HEAL Circles @ Hagar’s Home:

Where Spiritual Care and Liberatory Politics Meet

*Friday, March 13, 2026 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST (virtual)

Where do you go when the burdens you hold feel too heavy? When grief about a turbulent world asks you to bear witness in community? When you need spiritual care and liberatory politics? In a world that asks us to carry institutions, movements, families, and futures — often without tending to our own interior lives — Hagar’s Home HEAL Circles offer a different pace.

HEAL Circles are sacred, welcoming spaces for collective bearing witness — a place where you can take a deep exhale. Together with partner & organizational host uproot.ed, we practice Healing Justice for the nourishment of our lives and our communities.

Over 50% of all proceeds will be redistributed to help feed local and Senegalese families at the end of Ramadan.

You Might Be Wondering…

  • In these circles, we:

    Slow the machinery of urgency

    Metabolize grief and burnout

    Restore spiritual coherence

    Practice collective steadiness

We can survive almost any struggle if we do not feel alone in it. And to bring forth the worlds we need, we must practice them into existence — together.

  • Hagar’s Home is where spiritual care and liberatory politics meet.

Hagar’s Home is a response to the late Black feminist thinker bell hooks’ call for “schools for love” — sites where we bring forth the worlds we need through dedicated communal & strategic practice. Together, we practice Healing Justice — tending to the emotional, spiritual, and relational impacts of social struggle so communities and movements can be nourished in difficult times.

Through offering community HEAL Circles, individual spiritual care sessions for community leaders, executive chaplaincy for liberatory leaders, intimate creative workshops, and other programming, Hagar’s Home in partnership with organizational host uproot.ed, cultivates sites of liberatory practice for self, community, and the world.

Named for Hagar — the woman in the wilderness who ran between hills searching for water and was met by provision & tools for survival — Hagar’s Home honors the sacred labor of women and community members who nourish life under pressure.

  • Yasmin Yonis is a chaplain, strategist, and former senior advisor across philanthropy, governance, and global advocacy spaces. For over fifteen years, she has guided leaders and institutions through crisis, transition, and ethical complexity. Her work integrates spiritual care, political analysis, and institutional strategy, with a particular focus on women navigating responsibility in turbulent times.

  • You are welcome to be off camera during this virtual circle and participate in the ways that feel good for you. Many participants eat and drink, lie down, bring their fur and human babies or other loved ones, and practice caring for themselves.

Some HEAL Circles offer optional breakout rooms for smaller conversations. Participants are always welcome to remain in the main space. Use of chat, emojis, and other alternate communications offer nonverbal opportunities to engage.

Closed captioning is available via Zoom. At this time, we cannot offer ASL or other language interpretation, but endeavor to do so for future circles.
