Where do you go when the burdens you hold feel too heavy? When grief about a turbulent world asks you to bear witness in community? When you need spiritual care and liberatory politics? In a world that asks us to carry institutions, movements, families, and futures — often without tending to our own interior lives — Hagar’s Home HEAL Circles offer a different pace.
Together with partner & organizational host uproot.ed, we practice Healing Justice for the nourishment of our lives and our communities.

Hagar’s Home is a response to the late Black feminist thinker bell hooks’ call for “schools for love” — sites where we bring forth the worlds we need through dedicated communal & strategic practice. Together, we practice Healing Justice — tending to the emotional, spiritual, and relational impacts of social struggle so communities and movements can be nourished in difficult times.
Through offering community HEAL Circles, individual spiritual care sessions for community members, executive chaplaincy for liberatory leaders, intimate creative workshops, and other programming, Hagar’s Home in partnership with organizational host uproot.ed cultivates sites of liberatory practice for self, community, and the world.
Named for Hagar — the woman in the wilderness who ran between hills searching for water and was met by provision & tools for survival — Hagar’s Home honors the sacred labor of women and community members who nourish life under pressure.
